Paw Stories: Addy and Ike

Here's the story of two German Shepherd mixes, Addy and Ike.

"Our first dog, Addy, came into our lives after a trip to the Tulsa Hills shopping center. I saw the puppies in front of PetsMart and begged my husband to "just go look". When we found out the litter had been found in a cardboard box on the side of a highway, we were heartbroken. There was one little pup that fell asleep in my arms and that was the end of it! She became our baby. Addy is the goofiest dog who is always up for a game of Frisbee. But she needed a friend to play with, so....

Fast forward to one year later. I saw a post on Facebook about a scared dog that had been found on the porch of someone's house. The finder could not locate the dog's owner, nor did they particularly want to as it appeared the dog had been severely mistreated. I saw the pictures of his sweet face and big ears. We met him at a park with our other dog and that was the end of it all over again! We took him home and named him Ike. Ike is the sweetest, most gentle and loving dog I have ever met. He soaks up any attention and snuggling he can get. He and Addy have been best friends ever since they met! They love to play and snuggle together. Every day we are glad we got Addy a friend!"
