Learn the fundamentals of proper running form to increase performance and prevent injury at the next Good Form Running Clinic, a program created by New Balance, on Thursday, May 17 at 6 p.m. at the Blue Dome store.

WalkFit is designed to make fitness an obtainable goal for everyone. This program is catered to individuals who have been inactive, but desire the tools and motivation needed to adopt a walking routine and healthier lifestyle. By the end of the program, participants will be prepared and encouraged to walk a 5k or fun run event.

WalkFit is a novice walking training program designed for inactive individuals who are interested in starting a fitness routine. The 2012 Xtreme 5k is a Camp Loughridge scholarship benefit run that helps send kids to summer camp. The run will take place on Sunday, May 20 with a 5k and one-mile course that features natural and man-made obstacles at Camp Loughridge in southwest Tulsa. The one-mile course has fewer obstacles.
The 5k starts at 2:30 p.m. and the one-mile fun run starts at 3 p.m.
Event proceeds will help economically disadvantaged kids attend an awesome week of summer day camp in the great outdoors!
Entry fees are:
5k – $25 for adults and $10 for kids (12 and under)
one-mile fun run – $10

The Summer 2012 Fleet Feet – OU Physicians – TRC track schedule is now available.
Join us every Tuesday night at the TU Track – 6th and Delaware on the TU campus – for a speed workout. Arrive by 5:45 p.m. to warm up. Stretching starts at 6 p.m. followed by the workout. We are hosting the Will Rogers Sprint Tri at the beautiful Claremore Super Rec Center on Saturday, May 26.
The spring tri will feature a 400 meter snake pool swim, 12 mile bike, and 2 mile run (flat course!). All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal and all participants will receive a tech shirt. There is an option to enter as a two or three-person relay team.
The swim will be seeded based on fastest to slowest swimmer.
Great finisher food and beer will be available at the neighboring VFW Hall following the race.
