Pathways – Intermediate 10K training
Commitment: 12 weeks
Current fitness level:
Walkers – must be able to easily walk three miles
Runners – must be able to run or run/walk three miles without struggling
The Pathways training program is designed to improve your endurance and distance and prepare you for a 10K. Through coached pace groups for both runners and walkers, the program provides variety and intensity to maximize the effectiveness and benefits of training. Our successful group training approach led by experience coaches ensures participants receive the support and motivation needed to complete a 10K.
The goal race for the summer Pathways training program is the Bedlam Run on Saturday, July 28, 2012.
Class Format: Two weekly organized and coached training runs or walks, weekly motivational and educational e-mail, weekly handouts on training topics, daily training schedule, educational clinics, a special Pathways technical shirt, a goal event, graduation party, and more.
Weekly Classes:
- Mondays & Wednesdays at 6 p.m. – Fleet Feet — Blue Dome
- Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6 p.m. – Fleet Feet – KingsPointe
Registration is now open for the summer session of Pathways. Cost is $89. Summer sessions begin Monday, May 7, 2012, 6 p.m. at Fleet Feet Blue Dome and Tuesday, May 8, 2012, 6 p.m. at Fleet Feet KingsPointe.

Triathlon 101 Training – training for a multi-sport event
Commitment: 10 weeks
Current fitness level – able to swim 25m, run/walk at least two miles, basic bike knowledge and have a helmet and access to a bike
Multi-sport events are becoming increasingly popular and offer a new challenge for experienced athletes. If you’re intrigued by the idea of completing a sprint distance triathlon, but are not sure where to start we can help. The Triathlon 101 Training program is designed to prepare you to swim, run and bike your way to a triathlon finish line with experienced coaches who are trained, competitive triathletes.
Class Format:
Planned 10-week schedule with weekly training runs and rides, special swim clinics and periodic brick workouts. Clinics during the class include a transition area clinic, basic bike maintenance clinic, race prep clinic and swim form clinic.
Weekly Classes:
Varies – will be provided with Tri 101 class schedule.
