2014 Tri Training

Current Fitness Level: Beginner.

Start Date: Sunday May 4th at 1pm. We will have a short 15-20 minute orientation 

Duration: 14 weeks

Cost: BIKE ONLY- $150

         BIKE + PATHWAYS OR ADV PATH- $200

Program Benefits: BIKE ONLY includes Sunday rides, coaching, water bottle, tri kit (tri top and bottoms), weekly emails, clinics, 2-3 open water swims

                              BIKE+PATH/ADV PATH includes Sunday rides, coaching, water bottle, tri kit (tri top and bottoms), weekly emails, clinics, 2-3 open water swims, Pathways or Adv Pathways workouts+ weekly emails, clinics, coaches, Pathways shirt

Who Should Join? Anyone that would like to improve their cycling skills. This is more of a beginners class, but intermediate and advanced triathletes are welcome. We do ask that you have a bike AND helmet. All types of bikes are welcome. Road is best, Hybrid is ok, and Mountain will struggle.

Swim Option through the YMCA: There will be 3 sessions of swim classes. A session consists of 4 hours total of swim lessons (once per week). CLICK HERE TO REGISTER enter key word Fleet Feet

  • Session 1- Week 1-4 (May 18th- June 14th) There will not be a class on Memorial Day- the Memorial Day makeup lesson will be on Friday, May 30th at 5pm
  • Session 2- Week 5-8 (June 15th- July 12th)
  • Session 3- Week 9-12 (July 13th- Aug 9th)
2 options per week of either Mondays from 5pm to 6pm at the Hutcherson YMCA (on Pine and Peoria) OR Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30pm at the Hutcherson YMCA at (on Pine and Peoria). Each class can accommodate up to 10 people. 
Cost: per session is $40 for YMCA members and $80 for non-YMCA members.

These lessons will focus on stroke development and geared to beginner and intermediate swimmers. However, if an advanced swimmer is welcome to take these classes. 

Please note that if there are not at least 3 sign-ups per offered session, the session will be cancelled.
