Winter Warrior is a FREE program to help runners and walkers stay motivated during the holiday months and is in conjunction with our "tweener" runs and walks on Saturday mornings.

A "tweener" run or walk is something we have available to past participants, new runners and walkers, or anyone that is interested in continuing on after they have completed their goal races, or needing to keep their miles up for a winter race.

Winter Warrior is a 12 week program that will start on Friday, November 25th with the Turkey Trot and ends with the Sweetheart Run on Saturday February 18th.

Everyone will track their miles on the Winter Warrior Challenge by entering their miles on the Feet Feet Tulsa webpage.  It is very important you use the same name and email address when logging your activities (i.e. Tim vs. Timothy - pick one and stick with it!)  Only activities recorded between 11/25/2016 & 2/18/2017 will count towards your total mileage!

There are three different levels (advanced, intermediate, and beginner) for Winter Warrior. They are as follows:

500 Mile Club
250 Mile Club
100 Mile Club

These goals are set up to encourage extra activity in addition to steps you normally take in a day. Please only log activities, not daily mileage associated with daily steps.

To obtain each level, we have broken down the weekly mileage. For the 500 Mile Club, you will have to run or walk approximately 42 miles a week. For the 250 Mile Club, you will have to run or walk approximately 21 miles a week. For the 100 Mile Club, you will have to run or walk approximately 9 miles a week. We will have special prizes for those participants that reach the goal levels at the end of the 12 weeks.

If you can't remember if you've logged an activity, the activity log shows all activities recorded (it does not automatically update - it will be updated weekly on Sundays - the last updated time appears near the top of the activity log screen below): 

You will have the option of running or walking on your own or at one of Fleet Feet Tulsa's fun runs or walks that are held during the week. The weekly fun runs and walks are as follows:

Monday- Pint Night at Blue Dome at 6pm
Tuesday- Speed Work at TU Track at 6pm
Thursday-Kingspointe 6pm
Saturday- "Tweener" Run or Walk location will rotate between Fleet Feet Tulsa locations at 7am (schedule will be posted soon - First Tweener Saturday will be Dec 3, 2016)

These fun run and walks are informal and self led. We will have courses set up to follow, however, there will not be coaches available to lead the groups. There might be run and walk leaders, but it is not a guarantee. We will have water available at the store for Saturday's run or walk only.

You can purchase a short sleeve or long sleeve training shirt by visiting one of our stores, as available.  We are currently sorting the shirts and plan to have them in stores by 1/13/2017.
